The Quilt for Life was first shown in Pasadena, California on July 21, 2002. Quilts were laid out in a parking lot beginning at 6 am. Joggers and passersby began to stop, look over the quilts, and ask questions beginning about 7:30 am. By 9 am, all quilts were in place and visitors from the Friends for Life conference were visiting.
The first table below shows the quilts in order as they were laid out on the ground. The lowest number quilts are on the right, and the highest number quilts are on the left. The second table includes a few pictures from the showing.
