June 25-28, 2001
Camp Enscore for Young People with Diabetes is sponsored by the NC Affliliate of the American Diabetes Association and the Forsyth County Chapter of the ADA. It is overseen by local diabetes physicians and staffed by certified diabetes educators, nurses, and dietitians from local diabetes centers and hospitals. Many volunteers, who are screened by the ADA and the camp director, including some parents, will assist in providing a safe and fun camp.
Camp will be held at Walnut Hall in Tanglewood Park, Clemmons, NC on June 25th through June 28th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. For those who have not attended camp before, you are in for a read treat. A typical day starts with flag raising and review of the day’s schedule. Then the FUN begins. It will be a day packed full of fun and excitement, such as swimming, roller skating, paddle boating, relay races, games, arts and crafts, creative education activities and much, much more.
Please note, related to American Camping Association regulations, camp this year is again 4 days, Monday through Thursday. Family night will be on Thursday night, June 28th.
Applications are due by June 1, 2001.
