  Diabetes Care - Out and About

Diabetes care is part of life, so we often find ourselves checking blood sugars, taking insulin, and changing infusion sets in interesting places and at interesting times. Here are some great examples of people living life to the fullest and taking care of their diabetes at the same time.

This is Jaron, age 5. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes Aug 17, 2004. Jaron is a HUGE fan of Thomas the Tank Engine. This picture was taken July 16, 2005 at the Day out with Thomas in Baldwin City, Kansas

Victoria (age 4) has had Type 1 Diabetes since she was 2 years old. Here Victoria takes a break from a Harley Davidson Fashion Show in Ames, Iowa to get her blood check with the help of her Mommy, Kathy (who was also enjoys the Harley Davidson dress-up day!) It was a hot and muggy June 4th, 2005 for the dance group from Marijo's Dance Studio (Nevada, Iowa) to perform...but they had a LOT of fun doing it!
